There was nothing about my experience with Direct that is even remotely positive. They promised Friday pick-up and showed up Sunday. They promised two week delivery, and showed up 41 days later. And, after specifically telling them I couldn't take delivery on Saturday, they showed up Sunday and charged me a $200 late fee. That's real brass.
Worst, though, they lost one of my items. In part due to an oversight on my part, three items failed to get onto my inventory. Two were subsequently delivered and one was lost or stolen. More than a dozen attempts to contact them by phone and e-mail netted exactly one e-mail response from them. I shouldn't be surprised, though, because during this entire process they were, at best, slow in responding. Most times, they simply never did.
Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT USE DIRECT VAN LINES.
